When I worked for United Healthcare, the tool that we had was a special platform in which you needed to comply with all of the documentation related to the HIPAA, all right? And also to appointments, prescriptions, and names of the PTRs corresponding to each of the patients, name of the medications that the patients should take, how many times a day, the doses, also the different medications, not only one, if this was a patient at risk or not, but everything was in the whole platform, which in this case was called the mother, all right? And when I worked for the energy company in Texas, there was also a special platform in which I had the opportunity to open extra links where I could get information about, for example, tools related to energy and like solar plants, all right? And we also have tools that they could use, for example, cameras, to check whenever they were out. And the energy company provided them with those cameras for security, all right? And also to choose the right plan for each of the customers in Texas. Texas is different related to energy, because in the rest of the states, you will have two choices for the energy. But in Texas, you can have almost 20 choices to select the type of energy you want to have at your house. So I had all of this in the special platform, all right, that they had, but it was a company's platform, all right? So I was supposed to write every information.
During my time with United Healthcare, sometimes I had situations in which I needed to resolve and consult with some other team members because the patients did not have enough coverage for certain exams or certain procedures that they needed at that moment. And I needed to consult if there was a possibility to give coverage or in such cases, advice and the patients what they needed to do to proceed with that exam or with that procedure. The outcomes were sometimes good, sometimes negative, because if they didn't have the coverage and I needed to tell them really exactly what was the reason why, right? So you need to be very organized to give all the data and information so the patient understands, or in this case would be a customer, understands what is happening and why is this happening. The most effort should be to get assistance, all right? But if there is definitely the last thing is not, all right, then you need to explain to them why. Now for this, you need to have all the information clearly stated in your platform, every document with the dates and coverage just well presented so you can tell them what is happening.

There were issues sometimes with the insurance company, for example, when some of the patients needed to take a special exam and they were not covered by the insurance, I needed always to consult if there was a possibility to make that exam due to the fact that if the patient won't receive treatment, probably she or he will be getting worse.
Okay, when I was working for United Healthcare, it was very important to be really organized, all right, to have everything in its place, so whenever you receive a call from people to assist them, you needed to be really organized. The people that I worked for were seniors, so I needed to be very careful in speaking clearly to them. That means the right communication tools, all right, also being so organized to have each of the situations in which you assisted them well and clear and written so everybody can see it, especially doctors, nurses, and people that are assisting them at some houses sometimes, all right, could understand what were the prescriptions, how many times a day should the person take it, also what appointments are pending for him to comply, if she is going to use, like, for example, assisted mobility to go over there, and any communication that they needed with the PCR. Strategies that I use, for example, being well organized, writing down all the tasks to assess capacity, time blocking, also using the right platforms to leave every documentation that you needed to have for information in there, and also to use active listening as well as good communication skills.
When I was working for United Healthcare, which is an insurance company, I had the opportunity to have multiple tasks, assisting seniors in having appointments with their doctors, also translating prescriptions for them, and discovering what insurance covers and they still have to, so they could apply to have the services for them. I needed to be very fast, very conscious to help them, because these are people that cannot move very fast. So whenever you make an appointment, you need to be sure that they are going to be available to receive them, and you need to write all of the information in the proper platform, so everybody is concerned on what's going to happen, also with the prescriptions, to be really sure on what you are translating with the security of people are understanding, right? So everything should be prioritized.
Well, the very first thing that motivates me to work as a remote assistant is working for companies all over the world, not only for my country, and take advantage of being bilingual so you can work with an American company or companies all over the world. Productivity in a remote working environment depends on yourself being organized, being committed, and take advantage that you are working from home, but you need to have a special place where to work, being not interrupted, and committed. All right? That would be the work.
While working with patients in United Healthcare, there were some people that were Spanish, all right, so I needed to translate them their prescriptions so they could understand what they needed to take, how many times a day. So I also was an interpreter for them in Spanish and in English. How could I do this? Because I am bilingual, and I understand English and Spanish, and I think that helped me a lot.
While working at UnitedHealthcare, I was in charge of assisting customers, especially seniors, about their prescriptions, medicines, and sometimes I had so many things to organize for them. So my tasks included having a schedule so I can tell them to remind to take their medicines, and also annotating everything using a special platform where I can have all of the data and information about them, and checking constantly on information and listening properly. That would be it. While working for the energy company, I was able also to manage different tasks at the same time because people needed information about their plans, how much kilowatts they were consuming, if I can offer some other plans for here, speaking about some other tools that they can get with the energy plan selling. So I had to manage all of this. In order to comply with this, I used a platform, all right, a company's platform. And also I have my own schedule and a way to write everything, all right, so I can get information on the screen at the same time using different technology tools that I could use to get information as soon as I could, because people were waiting for me on the line, all right, so I needed to fulfill the information to them as quickly as I could. That would be it.
