Okay, yeah, I'll just make a typical example. Let's say I'm delivering coke. I'm from the headquarters here near Southgate, and I'm delivering around Soweto. So I'll just make sure, as I go, I try to, like, deliver at the nearest stores so that the furthest store will become my last store. I don't know what to do. Along the route, I'll just try to deliver as much as I can, different shops, and just to make my route simple and that I also don't get lost. Let's say I'm from there, Southgate, and I'm coming to Soweto. I'll get in via Deepclufe so that my first store will be on Deepclufe. Since Soweto ends at Protea Glen, I'll make sure that Protea Glen is my last stop, and I'll keep on delivering one per one until I'm finished.
Okay, how I manage a delay is it happened that we were booked or we're supposed to deliver something, I start by notifying my managers. After my managers, I notify my client of which I'm bringing the stuff to. I just tell them that maybe there was traffic or maybe we took the wrong route. I just be honest and tell them what really happened so that they understand why I'm not actually on time and not being on time is not what I usually do. So yeah, I just tell them, maybe I took the wrong route or maybe it's traffic that's slowing me down, but then I'll be there after a certain time. And then I make it a point that I get there.
Okay, the first time I had to work with stock that was loaded on a truck, I was working for compound security, but then we were offloading stuff off a DC Shoprite. So, yeah, we had to offload and after that we have to tie the stock with those cables, clamps, make sure they clamp so that the stock doesn't move around while the truck is moving. And then secondly, help someone move from one room to another or if you have to put the furniture on the back of the van, we had to tie it so that nothing falls and nothing breaks. Yeah, and we had to move from point A to point B. And then thirdly, when I worked for Began Abantu as a security guard, we used to offload beverages from a Coke truck and then we had to take them back because some of them were not what we had ordered. We ordered because the truck was full. They had different stocks. We had to offload and unload and also clamp the Cokes. Make sure that they're sitting well on pallets and some were on pallets and wrapped around with plastic, the plastic wrap. Yes, I do have experience offloading stock and offloading stock on a truck and making sure that it's safe from point A to point B.
