So, as I mentioned in the first video I made for you all, I'm a professional in accounting and finance, and I have over five years of experience in the logistics industry, starting from customer service, track and trace, eventually moving to freight brokerage department and also doing as a carrier sales representative. Currently, I can handle like the whole freight cycle when it comes to quote a load, set the booking, negotiate the rate, close it, then make sure that everything is fine, book the correct commodity, correct trailer, send rate confirmation, move the load to track and trace, do the whole process, make sure that everything is on track. Confirm delivery appointment, pick up appointments, get PODs, any type of invoice, you know, even customs clearance when it comes to get a load from another country like Canada to the States. All these type of processes and then just provide everything to the customer about management when it means to just pick up the phone or just send an email about the updates on the load, provide information about how we're doing, ETAs are going to be accurate or if there is any updates like, I don't know, the trip, maybe the truck broke down, or there is a delay at the border, whatever. Just make sure that you can pick up the phone, just get a solution for this and then move on and handle everything that is about, I don't know, paperwork and things like that later. So pretty much everything and I look forward to keep talking about any concern or any question about it. Thanks.
So, in my day-to-day tasks, we actually use a lot of software and we try to automate as much as possible just to make sure that the whole team is in this. Because you have to understand there is a lot of information that we cross all day, starting from who's quoting the load, then who's covering the load or calling to cover that load, call it that truck, then it's transferred to the track and trace team and billing. So what we used to do is we use simultaneously Slack and Trello when it comes to the organization. Everything that we create in Trello, in a card with a load, with a route, and eventually it's going to create a channel in the Slack where we can add all this information. Also, another way is whenever we use the TMS, the company, if we have a load in the system and we make the update, this is linked to the customer's email so they receive eventually the updates when the load, the truck is empty, the truck is en route, the load is picked up, is in transit, it's delivered, and eventually some updates about the time, including the link for the tracking that can be used, trucker tools, macro points, and et cetera, or depending the one that we actually need for that type of customer, the one that they can use. So linked to the system of the companies, we have these email chains with updates internally for the company. We create cards that are going to be creating also channels where we all can see the status of the load and the next requirements. And so many others for different customers like Uber, where we also make an update on their webpage, or in our system with the check-in time, check-out times, ETAs, and also location, and it's going to send these updates straight to the customer in the Uber portal.

So, common challenges that we see in this industry is whenever, for example, we're losing or missing an appointment. So in this case, what we try to do is just first thing, pick up the phone and call the shipper or the receiver. Try to get a new ETA within and see if we can buy some time. And sometimes they do help with it as long as we can just notify that we can deliver or we can pick up at that right time. We'll look for options to reschedule for later. Another option could be if there is another place that's going to be open by the time that we arrive, for example, in deliveries, sometimes the same company has different warehouses. So one is going to be closed by the ETA time, so we can deliver later in another place and we can save the day. And pretty much for deliveries only, things like they put their own address, pick up the phone and see how much we can get, or they're willing to pay for the extra mile or maybe the extra stop. That could be another case. And for pickups, it's just more about detention, demurrage. In those cases, it's all about money unless they put their own product in case. Pick up the phone, make sure that they understand the situations and they're willing to pay for you to stay there. If we're losing or we're missing the next appointment because of this, well, basically the same thing. If you feel like you're not gonna make it, pick up the phone and see if there is a way to reschedule, but always try to handle everything in advance and communicate directly with the person that is in charge of the next step of the process so you can find a solution with them.
So, my day to day task, I just want to prioritize everything based on the time, sense. So let's say that if I know that I have four options for today and one of those is the first thing in the morning is the first truck that is gonna be empty, I know that this is gonna be my priority. Second one is gonna be depending on the load that we move, something that is strong, has to be super important because of the appointment or it's a reefer that we know that we need to deliver at a specific time. Those are the things that I'm gonna prioritize when it comes to work on dispatching trucks. Unless something happened, like a load is canceled and we need to recover the truck and look for something else, from that point, I'll take that one that's gonna be a priority for this specific moment and then I'll get back to the options based on the time. First one's gonna be empty, so first one is gonna be in the line to be covered, and the other thing is just to pause all the trucks and make sure that you can learn and understand everything that you're looking for, so whenever you receive calls, you quickly switch and try to approach that call and make things happen. So, but the only way to do that is understanding everything that you have on the table and be ready for every single call.
So, first thing first, I need to understand the whole picture and the time that I have to work on each of these.
So in my day-to-day work, I used to work prioritizing my times on lasers and specific requirements because I know that depending on the market, we may have some lows or some troughs that might be hard to cover, so I'll try to split the times, timing from the ones that are gonna be one of the hardest, but it's gonna be super important to cover due to the customer. And then I go by the time that I have to cover that low. So first thing in the morning, first driver that needs to be covered, I mean, there is a customer that's super important, that's gonna be the first one in the list.
