Hi, I'm Hannah Vanderloud. I've been working for over 25 years in various situations from offices. I've done a little bit of accounting. I also worked in medical offices. I was a massage therapist, so clinical experience. I also have done other things like teach ESL English, which I've been doing for the last eight years, being self-employed. I'm friendly. I'm bubbly.
Okay, how do you follow instructions, manage assigned tasks, and keep remote team updated on your progress? These are very good questions, and you follow the instructions as they are written. You do them the best of your ability. Ask questions if you need it. If there's somebody there who can assist you for information, of course, you do your job, you will ask and do. Sometimes you don't have clear information, so you just do the best until you can find texts, email, sometimes there's a chat in a platform that you can use. Always manage the assigned tasks as they come in order or priority. Sometimes you get things in different orders. You're going to have some things that are more important than others for that time being, so they are done first. And keep remote team updated on your progress, texts, emails, checklists are awesome. You can check them as you go, then you know what needs to be done next. And anything we don't know, ask questions and just do your best.
Okay, how do you follow instructions, manage a assigned task, and keep a remote team updated on your progress? These are actually very good questions. I would try to follow instructions the best I can, ask questions where I need it. They're very important to follow instructions. And manage assigned tasks, do the best of your ability, once again, ask questions if you need to. um, and keep remote team updated on your progress. Most time there is some sort of platform. You can email, text, even sometimes you have the platform itself. You can let them know, like, we have filed these files, these documents, um, this is what needs to be done. Helps when you have checklists. Checklists are great because it makes sure you got everything done and properly maintained.
How would you research a topic online, organize what you find, and report a possible issue with a platform feature? So, if it's possible, I like having more than one source for information, especially like a medical issue, you go to sites that you are reliable, like MD, mid-MD. Those are the best ones, and most places refer to that one. If that's not possible, look for places so you have backup. That's why I like more than one website, just because they may have conflicting information, your support, it gets supported, and you try your best to make sure it's not something that's just basically recording from a different website. That could be a little tricky, but you start with websites you're comfortable with, are reliable. If you can't find them, then you cross-reference the best you can. You organize what you find, you make notes, details, record what possible false information, reliable information, if it can have references, excellent, and report a possible issue with a platform feature. I am not sure, I guess they would have procedures if we have that, and if platform XYZ is not working, you will find platform XYZ is failing to process or upload information. I see issues here, here, and here, and you pinpoint like paragraph, sentence, as much detail as possible, because with more detail, easier for things to get fixed.
So I need to describe an example of how you organize documents or records, ensure the details are accurate. I have worked in many offices, including the municipality of Halifax, um did some accounting, I have medical records, I did in a chiropractor office, even as a massage therapist. So it depends on the records on themselves, but majority, you do an alphabetical order, and then by date, according to whatever you're working and what the requirement is. And you file them as soon as possible. Um feel free to ask questions when you need to, and you always double-check your work. Personally, when I'm doing some documents for myself, sometimes going by alphabetical order or date is not quite accurate. I'll have a number system that has been to myself or letter number system, and I'll put them in order as to, um, like I was doing some craft batches, and I was putting them as the year, month, day, then my batch number, and the type of the product it was. Um, it had meaning to me, so that was, that's one thing. But like I said, you do according to the company, how they would like it, to what the documents are, usually alphabetically and numerically, whatever the job requires.
