Engine Storekeeper/Inventory Specialist, Logistician, Supply chain operations and procurement

Ordering and Receiving of Deck, and Engine equipments, managing the supply and demand within the technical departments keeping full control of the movement of spares, tools and materials.. Sourcing of stocks items for technical department.. Procurement of Engine and Deck spares by ensuring orders are raised and proper documentation is completed for the requisition of items.. Sourcing new suppliers locally for various spare parts, tools and material.. Perform budget control of all technical stores.. Develops and implements logistics process. Distributing items to the various departments onboard the vessel.. Handling of Logistics machinery such as Forklifts, pallet Jacks, Trolleys for movement of spare parts, Items/goods to their designated locations.. Ensures the maintenance and inspection of Deck and Engine cargo.. Operating of Crane for transportation of containers from dock to onboard the vessel.. Operating of Forklift for adequate movement and storage of items.. Perform regular Inventory of stock items and spare parts. Complete accurate record and documentation keeping. inputting precise data into AMOS according to their purchase order.. Receive spare parts and supplies onboard, labelling items with their barcodes and storing them in their designated locations. Including chemicals,oil and dangerous goods.. Handling, packaging and transfer of Chemicals safely to designated locations.. Report oil spills and equipment issues immediately.. Participate in safety training meetings and drills.. Conduct regular inspections of storage areas to ensure proper organisation, cleanliness and maintenance.. Planning and maintain good storage fit for receivable items.. Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, inspection and weekly reports.. Keep the chief engineer and second engineer promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of significance. Conducting daily communication to review progress and agree on work prioritisation.. Observes and enforces uniform and grooming standards according to company policies. Issuing of Personal Protective Equipments(PPE) for safe and efficient work.
