Remote Demand Writer - Personal Injury Law Firm
RLM Law, P.C. is looking for a full-time Remote Demand Writer to assist with the preparation of high-quality personal injury demand letters.
RLM Law is a boutique personal injury law firm based in California. We are a small team, and we work closely together on our cases. Although this is a remote position and the candidate will be expected to work independently, this is not a detached consultant-style role.
The selected candidate will be part of the team, will periodically meet with us to discuss cases, strategy, feedback, and workflow, and will have the opportunity to grow within the firm depending on experience, performance, and overall fit.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience drafting personal injury demands, strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to review and summarize medical records, bills, liability evidence, insurance information, and case notes. We are looking for someone who can follow internal drafting guidelines, incorporate feedback quickly, and contribute to a consistent, organized demand drafting process.
This is a fully remote position, but the candidate must be available to work during California Pacific Time business hours.
Main Responsibilities
Draft personal injury demand letters for third-party and first-party claims, including UM/UIM matters.Review and summarize medical records, bills, imaging reports, police reports, case notes, and supporting evidence.Prepare clear sections regarding liability, treatment, injuries, damages, future medical recommendations, and non-economic damages.Organize past medical specials, future medicals, wage loss when applicable, and supporting exhibits.Follow the firm’s demand structure, formatting requirements, and internal SOP.Revise drafts based on attorney or supervisor feedback.Participate in periodic case/workflow meetings with the team.Maintain consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail across all work product.
Requirements
Prior experience drafting personal injury demands is required.Strong English writing skills.Ability to analyze medical records and identify key injuries, treatment, recommendations, and damages.Familiarity with personal injury treatment, including chiropractic care, pain management, orthopedic treatment, imaging findings, injections, and surgical recommendations.Strong attention to detail, formatting, and document organization.Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.Experience with Microsoft Word and PDF organization is required.Experience with CasePeer, Filevine, or other case management software is a plus.Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency is strongly preferred.Willingness to use AI tools responsibly to improve workflow, organization, drafting speed, and overall productivity.
Schedule
Full-time position.Fully remote.Must be available during California Pacific Time business hours.
Compensation
$1,500.00 to $2,000.00 USD per month, depending on experience.
