A fast-growing transportation consultancy is looking for a Construction Inspector to support roadway and mobility projects across Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys collaborating with contractors and engineers, and wants to play a hands-on role in building safe and reliable infrastructure.
What You’ll DoPerform daily field inspections on roadway, traffic signal, striping, signage, and pedestrian facility projectsVerify compliance with plans, specifications, and agency standards (FDOT, MUTCD, local DOTs)Monitor contractor progress, track quantities, and prepare documentation for pay applicationsReview RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change ordersCoordinate with contractors, design engineers, utility providers, and public agencies to resolve field issuesSupport punch lists, final inspections, and project closeout documentationMaintain accurate, organized, and timely field recordsWhat We’re Looking ForAssociate’s or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)5+ years of experience in construction inspection (transportation projects a plus)Familiarity with FDOT and MUTCD standardsExperience with field documentation and tools (SiteManager, Bluebeam, e-Construction, etc.)Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skillsValid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sitesWhy This Role?Competitive salary + performance-based bonus opportunitiesFull benefits package (health, dental, 401(k), PTO)Exposure to diverse transportation projects across public and private sectorsSupportive, people-first culture with clear opportunities for professional growthJoin a growing firm with active expansion across Florida
