SummaryAME, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead precision concrete, heavy civil, and industrial general contracting projects. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of construction projects from preconstruction planning to execution and closeout. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in concrete construction, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This position requires a strategic thinker who thrives in dynamic environments and can manage complex schedules, budgets, and teams with confidence and professionalism. This position will report to our Fort Mill, SC office.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support project teams in all aspects of safety, quality control, and schedule adherenceInterpret architectural and engineering plans and communicate technical details effectivelyCoordinate with stakeholders to plan work, schedule resources, and monitor progressBuild and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsivenessDevelop cost-effective strategies for project execution and ensure budget complianceUnderstand and enforce contract requirements, including notice procedures and regulatory prerequisitesPrepare agendas and lead project meetingsGenerate and manage project documentation including subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, profit forecasts, and pay applicationsCreate high-level construction estimates and perform quantity takeoffs and unit pricingProduce monthly progress reports and project updatesNegotiate subcontracts and change orders with subcontractors, suppliers, and ownersDraft owner correspondence and RFIsAssist in RFQ/RFP preparation and participate in proposal presentationsReview submittals for compliance and coordinate with design engineersPursue contractor licensing and professional certifications as neededIdentify and cultivate future business opportunitiesEnsure compliance with OSHA guidelines and company safety policiesPromote integrity, professionalism, and quality throughout all project phasesDemonstrate proficiency in project management software and scheduling toolsIndependently manage complex project timelines and deliverables
Skills and SpecificationsExpert in precision concrete construction and industrial project deliveryProficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong understanding of project management software and construction documentationExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
Must-Have Qualifications5-7 years of experience in precision concrete construction and project management experienceProven ability to lead large-scale industrial and civil projectsFamiliarity with superintendent responsibilities and field operationsOSHA 10-Hour Certification and valid Driver’s License
Preferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing, mechanical, or energy sector projectsAdditional safety or trade certificationsFamiliarity with CAD tools or construction alignment software
Education4-Year bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred2-Year degree acceptable with equivalent project management experience
Physical RequirementsAbility to travel to project sitesCapable of working extended hours and in various environmentsAble to sit or stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and walk across uneven terrainOccasional work in confined spaces or at heights
