Rapid Prototyping & Engineering and Sacoma Specialty Products are seeking an accomplished manufacturing leader to join our executive leadership team as Director of Operations.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across two engineering-driven manufacturing organizations specializing in precision machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and value-added manufacturing.
This is more than an operations leadership position.

What You'll DoAs Director of Operations, you will partner closely with executive leadership to translate business strategy into operational execution while leading manufacturing operations across both organizations.
Key responsibilities include:Providing strategic leadership across machining, fabrication, assembly, quality, and manufacturing operations.Developing and mentoring supervisors, managers, and future leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and financial performance.Championing Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance.Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to support customer commitments and future growth.Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing capability, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.Helping position both organizations for continued growth through disciplined execution and strong leadership.
What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leading manufacturing organizations, developing high-performing teams, and improving operational performance.
Qualifications include:Progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including senior operations leadership.Experience leading precision machining, fabrication, or other engineering-driven manufacturing operations.Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.Experience managing operational performance, financial results, and key business metrics.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
