ITOperational Technology Specialist Manufacturing

Job Description As an integral member of the IT regional organization, this role is dedicated to supporting and facilitating secure Operational Technology (OT) systems across MANN+HUMMEL’s manufacturing sites in the Americas region. The IT/OT Support Specialist acts as a bridge between traditional IT and OT environments and will be the primary OT knowledge holder for the region. This position also contributes to global OT initiatives in close collaboration with international IT and OT teams.
Main TasksIntegration into Center of Competence CoC Structure: This role is part of the global OT CoC and works closely with colleagues in Europe, Asia, and North AmericaRegular alignment with the central OT architecture team and participation in global initiativesProvide IT-levelsupport for OT systems in regional manufacturing environments, including SCADA, MES, and other relatedplatformsAssist in the integration of production equipment into the broader IT/OT infrastructure, ensuring alignmentwith MANN+HUMMEL IT standardsEnsure network segmentation and security between IT and OT environments (e.g., using Cisco/Palo Altosolutions)Collaborate with local engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues associated withDeliver 2nd and 3rd level support for OT-related incidents, including root cause analysis and long-termresolution planning.Document OT systems and maintain technical recordsSupport OT-related projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and security initiation
Education:Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field
Experience:5 years experience in IT support roles with a strong focus on OT environments, preferably within manufacturing5 years MS SQL Server experience (administration and scripting)Hands-on knowledge of SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Rockwell, Schneider) and industrial networking protocols (will not be programming PLCs)Experience with enterprise network security and segmentation tools (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto) SkillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured, independent work styleExcellent communication skills in English; ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
