A confidential opportunity is available with an established Chicago litigation practice seeking a senior workers’ compensation defense attorney at the partner level. This role is designed for an attorney who can step into an active defense-side workers’ compensation docket and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

THE ROLE
Defend workers’ compensation claims from initial evaluation through resolution, including strategy, budgeting, and client communication.Handle core litigation tasks such as discovery, depositions, medical record analysis, motion practice, hearings, and settlement negotiations.Advise clients on risk exposure, claim handling strategy, and case resolution options.Collaborate with attorneys and staff to manage files efficiently and maintain high-quality work product.
LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
Location:Chicago, Illinois.
Schedule:Hybrid with an in-office expectation of 3 days per week.
Compensation:$200,000 base salary.
REQUIREMENTS
8 to 15 years of workers’ compensation defense litigation experience.Active Illinois bar admission in good standing.Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.Strong case management skills, including the ability to run matters independently and communicate clearly with clients.
