Job description

What to expect.

Manages the procurement process as directed by the Purchasing and Materials Services Director. This includes identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring that all contractual agreements protect the Organization’s interests.Provides routine administrative support related to the Oracle procurement module.Maintains the item master in Oracle.Participates in the development of system dashboards and reports.Participates in special projects within the Purchasing Department.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in procurement and contract administration.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and ERP software.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor sufficient to interact with vendors and internal customers.Analytical ability sufficient to apply purchasing procedures to varied department needs.General understanding of contract terms and conditions, commercial law and risk mitigation.Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when collecting and reviewing data, maintaining files, and preparing required reports.
