About the role
American Indian Resource Center Inc. - AIRC is hiring two full-time Academic Coaches for the TRIO TalentSearch Program. The role provides educational outreach and direct services to participants, including recruitment and academic, college-access, career, financial literacy, and student development activities. Academic Coaches coordinate with the Talent Search Director, Talent Search staff, scholarship and postsecondary institutions to connect participants with resources, support, and referrals.
Responsibilities
- Develop schedules for delivering Talent Search services at assigned schools.
- Coordinate and provide student services that support program objectives.
- Assist in developing curriculum for counseling, tutoring, academic skill development, financial literacy, financial aid and scholarships, postsecondary information, career exploration, and parental involvement activities.
- Work directly with students to assess needs, provide guidance and support, and promote academic success, college readiness, and career development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, service documentation, and participant tracking data.
- Assist with program activities, events, workshops, campus visits, and other activities.
- Design and increase educational and postsecondary opportunities for participants.
- Support the Director in meeting program objectives, performance measures, and grant requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, conferences, and training activities as required for Talent Search.
