As an Account Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in the account performance, customer relationshipand freight operations. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong multitasking, excellent communication, and the ability to think ahead.
Responsibilities:Maintain timely communication with customers and develop relationships with all key contactsAssess all opportunities to receive new orders and new quoting requests with proactive follow-upMonitor actual tender volumes for awarded business and communicate with customers forvariancesProactively monitor customer performance expectations and be responsive to customerscorecards and other feedback to improve performance and ensure customer satisfactionBuild and appoint all tenders and maintain all reporting platforms as neededWork with Carrier Sales to ensure all tenders are covered and adjust rates as needed.Work with Track & Trace to resolve any load escalationsAwareness for overall freight operations health, including statuses on key loads of importanceWork closely with your Account Manager to execute the business plan for your account(s)Ensure all Billing and Credit Issues are resolved each month before EOMEnsure that all SOP materials for the associated accounts are created, maintained, updated andbuilt into the knowledgebase portalWork in harmony with all related departments to ensure overall organizational success.
Requirements:Advanced English (spoken & written) – Mandatory.High school diploma or equivalent (required).Associate's degree (preferred).1+ years of experience in logistics/transportation with a focus on operations or salesExperience with and/or ability to learn a variety of TMS/CRM platforms.Proficiency with Office Productivity Software, Google Drive and Microsoft Office tools.Call center experience.
