Role DescriptionThe Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Santo Domingo. The accountant will manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with month-end and year-end closing, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role also involves ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to answer financial inquiries and support audits.
QualificationsStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and financial analysis tools.Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.Familiarity with local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit support processes.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Relevant professional experience in corporate or public accounting; experience with U.S. or international clients is an advantage.Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is highly beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Santo Domingo, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
