Accountant Independent Contractor in Mexico City | Vyagale’s Academy

Vyagale’s Academy is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team as an Independent Contractor based in Mexico City. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely with flexible hours while managing comprehensive financial records and ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements to guarantee accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports reflecting the organization’s financial status.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the financial system.
• Conduct internal audits and assist with preparation for external audits.
• Collaborate with team members to oversee financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and deadlines.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant or similar role, preferably as an independent contractor.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
