Role DescriptionThe Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The role involves monitoring expenses, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, and preparing reports for management. The Accountant will collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support audits and tax filings as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Santo Domingo.
QualificationsStrong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting.Experience with account reconciliation, month-end and year-end closing, and budgeting support.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret financial data.Ability to work on-site in Santo Domingo and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Familiarity with local tax regulations and audit processes is highly beneficial.Professional integrity, strong organizational skills, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
