Accounting Manager – Remote, United States

Justen Vanzant is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations in a remote role based in the United States. This full-time position pays $40 per hour. The Accounting Manager will ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting while supporting leadership with clear financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and account reconciliations.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, account analyses, journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Monitor cash flow and support cash forecasting and working-capital management.
• Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate the annual audit and work with external auditors and other financial professionals.
• Support tax filings by providing information to tax advisors and external partners.
• Analyze financial results, investigate significant variances and unusual transactions, and prepare financial insights for senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience overseeing core accounting operations.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting financial close, reporting, internal controls, and audit coordination.
• Ability to lead and develop a team and communicate financial information to leadership.

Role details: Full-time, remote eligible; United States. Compensation is $40 per hour.
