Accounting Technician

About the role

As a member of the MJHA Operations team, the Accounting Technician is responsible for the provision of bookkeeping and accounting services, with related administrative duties, for the Moose Jaw Housing Authority.

Tasks

• Provision of bookkeeping and accounting services, with related administrative duties, for the Moose Jaw Housing Authority.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in accounting, commerce, or business administration, plus five (5) years experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient using computerized software programs, such as: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook and Internet applications.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; excellent knowledge of computerized accounting programs, payroll procedures.
• Comprehension and application of procedural systems quickly and critically in a complex computerized acc

Schedule

• This is a temporary full-time position.
• Regular hours of work being as per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay

• $25.43-$30.38
