OVERVIEW:We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position requires knowledge of and practical application of sound business-to-business collection principles and practices. The Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist will be responsible for Accounts Receivable and all other aspects of collections, including analyzing and resolving billing issues and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
Note: This position will be based in our Puerto Rico office.
What You’ll Do:Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on outstanding balances.Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, e-checks, and credit cards) in a timely mannerExecute strategic collection efforts for assigned U.S. client accountsMaintain accurate AR aging reports and account recordsCommunicate professionally with customers about billing and payment issuesAssist with the month-end close for accounts receivableSupport audits by providing AR documentation as required
What You’ll Have:2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experienceStrong understanding of AR processes and collections best practicesProficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred)Intermediate Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesFluent in spoken and written English; Spanish is a plus
