After-School Math and English Teacher

About the role

Afficient Academy is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic part-time teacher to support young students (Kindergarten through Grade 2) in developing their Math and English skills through our AI-driven personalized learning programs.

Afficient Academy, founded in 2014 in Silicon Valley, is a pioneer in AI-powered learning solutions for math and English education.

Tasks

• Supervise and support Afficient Young Scholars (Kindergarten through Grade 2) as they learn Math and English using our AI-driven personalized learning programs on iPads.
• Monitor students’ learning progress, provide individualized coaching, and answer questions to ensure effective learning.
• Guide students in developing good learning strategies, study habits, and independent learning skills.
• Communicate regularly with parents and account managers regarding students’ learning progress, performance, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in elementary-level Math and English (Kindergarten through Grade 4).
• Previous experience tutoring or teaching young students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
• Mature, patient, enthusiastic, and highly responsible.
• Availability to work during after-school hours and on Saturdays for a total of 16 – 24 hours per week.

Schedule

• 16–24 hours per week
• Part-Time

Pay

• $20–$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
