Role DescriptionThe After-School Teacher – Part Time will support students in an after-school setting by providing instruction in English and Spanish, reinforcing classroom learning, and guiding students through homework, projects, and exam preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting materials to different proficiency levels, and offering individualized academic support across core school subjects. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent educational strategies, maintain clear communication with families about student progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Panama City, working primarily during after-school hours.
QualificationsStrong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience supporting multilingual or international students.Ability to design and implement effective Lesson Planning, tailored to diverse learning needs and grade levels.Excellent Communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.Experience in Training or tutoring, including guiding students through homework, exam preparation, and academic projects.Bachelor’s degreeExperience working with children or adolescents in an academic setting; familiarity with the Panamanian school system is an advantage.Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage small groups in an after-school environment.Cultural sensitivity and interest in supporting the integration of Chinese students into a new educational and social context.
