Job description
KR Elixir Inc. is hiring an AI Engineer or Senior AI Engineer in Santiago, Chile. This full-time hybrid role focuses on designing, building, and operating production-grade agentic AI systems and large language model (LLM) integrations.
About the Role
You will lead the technical implementation of multi-agent architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, tool calling, evaluation frameworks, and session and state management. Your work will help ensure LLM applications operate reliably and safely in customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design multi-agent architectures and runtime components with persistent conversation and session state.
- Build and operate RAG pipelines using vector search, reranking, and context hygiene to reduce hallucinations.
- Integrate tools and functions, including API bindings, JSON Schema outputs, and runtimes that execute tools and return results to LLMs.
- Develop evaluation and testing frameworks, including LLM-as-a-Judge workflows, golden datasets, and grading rubrics.
- Manage conversation history, context windows, and session retrieval to support accurate multi-turn interactions.
- Integrate LLMs, vector databases, PostgreSQL, and monitoring and telemetry systems with engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Write technical designs, runbooks, and unit and integration tests; support reproducible failures and component-level observability.
- Partner with product, data science, and QA teams on deployment, A/B testing, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks and persistence concepts.
