Role Description As an AI Prompt Engineer at Heat Flow Technology, you will design, refine, and maintain prompts and workflows that support engineering, documentation, customer communication, and internal knowledge management. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex heat transfer concepts into effective AI‑ready instructions, helping automate tasks such as drafting technical reports, proposals, and product descriptions. Daily activities include testing and optimizing prompt performance, curating datasets and examples, documenting best practices for AI usage, and ensuring outputs are accurate, safe, and aligned with company standards. You will also support team members in adopting AI tools, provide guidance on prompt usage, and suggest improvements to existing processes. This is a part‑time remote role, offering flexibility while requiring reliable availability for scheduled collaboration and delivery deadlines.QualificationsStrong AI and prompt engineering skills, including experience designing, testing, and iterating prompts for large language models and other generative AI tools.Technical understanding of engineering concepts (preferably heat transfer, mass transfer, or mechanical/chemical engineering) and ability to interpret specifications, diagrams, and technical documentation.Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, structured instructions, guidelines, and documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences.Analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to evaluate AI outputs, identify inconsistencies, and improve workflows based on data and feedback.Comfort with digital collaboration tools and remote work practices; ability to manage part‑time hours effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field is preferred; prior experience working with industrial or manufacturing environments is an advantage.Familiarity with programming or scripting (such as Python) and API‑based integration of AI systems is beneficial, as is experience working with proprietary or domain‑specific software.
