Job description
About the role
PriorityLab is growing.
Environmental testing lab serving clients across the US, Canada and the Virgin Islands.
Tasks
- Prepare and analyze water, air, soil and solid samples
- Follow EPA methods, including 200.9, 7010 and 300.0
- Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments
- Review, validate and release analytical data for client reports
- Develop and update SOPs and support lab accreditations
- Help train lab staff and keep training records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related field
- 1+ year of experience with spectroscopy instrumentation
- Experience with Flame AAS, Graphite Furnace AAS or Ion Chromatography
- Understanding of ISO 17025, NELAC, AIHA or other accreditation programs
- Comfort working with laboratory-grade acids, solvents and reagents
- Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus: ICP-MS experience and familiarity with EPA, Standard Methods or NIOSH
