Android Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Architect to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. As a contractor in this pivotal role, you will lead the design and development of robust Android applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and optimal user experience. Key Responsibilities Architect and design scalable, high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and technical requirements. Develop and maintain APIs that enable integration and functionality of applications. Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices through code reviews and QA processes. Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts to optimize application performance. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies relevant to Android development. Guide junior developers and mentor team members in architectural best practices. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proven experience with Android development, including strong skills in Kotlin and Java. Demonstrable expertise in designing APIs. Experience in leading architecture discussions and decisions. Familiarity with industry-standard certifications such as Google Associate Android Developer is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mobile application development.
