Animal Care Attendant

We are hiring an Animal Care Attendant.

This varied role is to support front desk operations and the daily care of animals. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for intaking animals coming into our care, answering phone calls, creating files, transporting animals and providing care and enrichment for animals in our care.

Requirements for this job:
🐾 A minimum of 2 years experience working in an animal shelter environment
🐾 Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively
🐾 Knowledge of local animal control bylaws, licensing regulations, and humane handling techniques
🐾 Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting animals and equipment
🐾 Excellent communication skills for interacting with the public, law enforcement partners, and community organizations.
🐾 Have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
🐾 Pass a criminal record check
🐾 Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends
