Application Analyst (Intermediate)

About the role

Support a Government of Alberta project involving application development, system analysis, database design, testing, and ongoing application enhancements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of application development experience in a large enterprise IT environment using .NET, Visual Studio, and source control tools.
• 5+ years of experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSMS, stored procedures, data modelling, and reporting services.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with C# and Visual Studio.
• 5+ years of experience working with end users on requirements gathering, testing, and documentation.
• Relevant degree, diploma, certificate, or professional certification with the required combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience integrating complex IT systems, multiple data sources, web services, and legacy applications (nice-to-have).
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies (nice-to-have).
• 3+ years of experience using GitHub (nice-to-have).
• 3+ years of experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) (nice-to-have).
• Familiarity with Oil Sands Regulations is an asset.
• Candidates must be based in Alberta.

Schedule

• Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
• Contract Duration: 8 months
