Apprentice Assistant-Driller North

Summary
The Apprentice Assistant-Driller works in constant collaboration with the work team to ensure the smooth running of drilling operations.

Main tasks and responsibilities
• Ensures a clean and safe work environment;
• Monitors the line with water, pumps, fuel and propane levels and feeds the drill;
• Assists with the moving and installation of the drill to future drilling sites;
• Assists and gives support to the drilling team for the smooth running of the drilling operations;
• Respect and apply the health and safety methods and procedures of Orbit Garant Drilling;
• Performs other tasks related to the workstation.

Profile and requirements
• Hold a valid First Aid Certificate (CPR);
• Ability to work in a team;
• Have good physical ability and stamina;
• Be able to travel by plane and/or helicopter;
• Ability to work in isolated environment with extreme weather conditions over long periods of time;
• Be comfortable and motivated in a production job.

Schedule
• 14/14 rotations, 14 consecutive days of work followed by 14 days off;
• 12-hour shifts;
• Alternate day/night shift;
• Housed and fed on the site.
