AR & Month-end Bookkeeping Specialist in Hermosillo, Sonora

Based in Orange County, California, this company delivers turnkey electrical engineering and construction services across California and the United States. They proudly serve federal agencies and military installations nationwide, backed by over a decade of construction industry experience and more than 20 years of combined expertise in construction, engineering, and project management.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable & Month-End Bookkeeping Specialist to join our finance team in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. This critical role manages customer invoicing, collections, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. You will collaborate closely with the owner, project managers, and external accounting partners to ensure accurate financial records and maintain cash flow visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit customer invoices based on project milestones and billing schedules.
• Track and follow up on accounts receivable, including sending reminders and making collection calls.
• Prepare lien releases and ensure all required documentation is complete for payment processing.
• Enter and monitor change orders (COs) to ensure billing accuracy.
• Assist with accounts payable check runs and vendor coordination.
• Monitor and forecast weekly and monthly cash flow.
• Support budget data entry and reconciliation.
• Maintain organized records of all billing and collection activities.
• Perform month-end close procedures including bank and cash account reconciliations.
• Record adjusting journal entries for accruals, deferrals, prepaids, and depreciation.
• Review and verify financial reports for accuracy.

Location: Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico (On-site, remote work not eligible)
