Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Atelerie is an independent concept shop at 9 Reid Street, Hamilton.

Since 2008 we’ve grown into one of Hamilton’s larger and more distinctive stores, with 2,500 sq ft of ready-to-wear, fine jewellery, accessories, apothecary, homewares and gifts, plus a busy online shop.

Tasks

• Lead and coach the team to hit sales goals and give every customer a memorable experience
• Help with hiring, training and scheduling
• Plan in-store events and pop-ups that bring the community in
• Look after stock, merchandising and displays
• Help run the online shop and our social media
• Keep each day running smoothly: opening and closing, the till, online orders, deliveries, email and special orders
• Bring ideas on product, marketing and store strategy, and see them through

Requirements

• At least two years’ experience leading or supervising a team, in retail, hospitality or another customer-facing role
• Excellent spoken and written communication
• A qualification in business, retail or marketing is welcome but not essential
• Applicants must be Bermudian, the spouse of a Bermudian, or a PRC holder
• You have plenty of energy and good common sense. You're organised, you notice the details, and you're happy juggling several things at once. People enjoy working with you and customers remember you. You're comfortable with basic tech such as a till and an iPad, or quick to learn.
