AWS Kafka Engineer/Administrator

Tasks

• Design, deploy, configure, upgrade, and manage Apache Kafka / Confluent clusters.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka brokers, partitions, replication, consumer lag, and performance.
• Manage Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and integrations with AWS S3, Trino, and OpenSearch.
• Implement Kafka security using TLS, SASL, ACLs, and RBAC.
• Automate infrastructure and operations using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support disaster recovery, cross-cluster replication, failover, and production incidents.

Requirements

• 10+ Years
• Apache Kafka / Confluent Platform Administration
• AWS / Amazon MSK
• Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and Performance Tuning
• Terraform, Ansible, Python / Shell Scripting
• Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch
• Kafka Security: TLS, SASL, ACLs, and RBACCI/CD, GitOps, Production Support, and Troubleshooting
• Preferred: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Confluent Cloud, KRaft, Cluster Linking, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Argo CD.
