I’m currently working closely with leadership at a highly respected boutique bankruptcy and creditors’ rights firm in Los Angeles that has built an outstanding reputation over decades representing sophisticated creditors, lenders, and financial institutions in complex commercial restructures and bankruptcy matters.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior attorney to step into a genuine leadership-level role within a highly specialized practice handling sophisticated Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters, workouts, restructures, and high-stakes creditors’ rights litigation.
Unlike many larger firms, this team offers direct client exposure, strategic autonomy, and the ability to work alongside highly experienced bankruptcy attorneys in a collaborative boutique environment without the excessive bureaucracy often found at larger platforms.
🌟 Highlights:• Established and highly respected boutique creditors’ rights and bankruptcy firm with more than 30 years of experience handling sophisticated commercial bankruptcy, restructuring, litigation, and judgment enforcement matters.• Strong reputation throughout California for representing banks, secured lenders, equipment lessors, trustees, businesses, and institutional creditors in complex insolvency and distressed asset matters.• Leadership opportunity with significant direct client contact and the ability to help shape litigation and restructuring strategy rather than simply executing tasks beneath layers of management.• One of the larger and more established firms in the San Fernando Valley with substantial internal infrastructure and support staff, including in-house investigators and experienced legal support teams.
⚖️ The Role:• Represent creditors, lenders, creditors’ committees, trustees, and financial institutions in complex commercial bankruptcy matters.• Handle Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings from inception through resolution.• Advise clients on restructures, workouts, insolvency strategy, and distressed financial matters.• Lead negotiations involving repayment structures, asset recovery, and bankruptcy litigation strategy.• Handle contested matters, motions, depositions, discovery, hearings, and related litigation.
🏢 About You:• 5+ years of experience in commercial bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters.• Significant experience representing creditors, lenders, or creditors’ committees in bankruptcy proceedings.• Strong background in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 matters along with experience in workouts, restructures, judgment enforcement, or related insolvency matters highly preferred.
📍 Location:Hybrid role based in Encino, California.
