Beekeeper

Tasks

• Loading and unloading bees using a forklift, lifting bee colonies and transporting to pallets, removing honey boxes from hives, feeding and treating bees with medicine, inspecting bee colonies to determine strength and overall health
• Some shifts will vary depending on bees life cycle and will be performed in the evening or early morning hours instead of regular work hours.
• Be prepared for mosquitoes, fire ants and other native species.

Requirements

• Visa required: H-2A
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in varying weather conditions & other related Beekeeper activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093.
• Workers must not be allergic to bees, honey, or pollen.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Schedule

• From Dec 15, 2026 to Apr 15, 2027
• Possible weekend/holiday work.

Pay

• $16.90 per hour
• The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
