NOTICE OF FILLING UP VACANT POSITIONS

One (1) BOARD OF MARINE DECK OFFICER (BOMDO)
Non-Plantilla | Salary: Php 167,129.00 monthly

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education: Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation
Eligibility: Registered Master Mariner; Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) under Regulation II/2 of the STCW Convention, 1978, as amended
Training: IMO Model Course 3.1.2 and 6.1
Experience:
1. Must be a citizen and resident of the Philippines;
2. Must be of proven integrity and with high moral values as evidenced by past professional conduct;
3. Must not have any pecuniary interest, directly or indirectly in any school, academy, college, university, or institution conferring an academic degree necessary for admission to the practice of merchant marine and/or the reservation/issuance in preparation for the licensure examination or being conducted, nor shall be a member of the faculty or instructor in any institution thereof at the time of this appointment to the Board;
4. Have served as management level for at least two (2) years.
5. With an aggregate total of at least seven (7) years of practice as Merchant Marine Officer;
6. The last shipboard experience as Master Mariner should not be less than twelve (12) months accumulated within a period of ten (10) years prior to appointment date on sea-going ships of 500 gross tonnage or more.
7. Must not have been convicted by any competent court of an offense involving moral turpitude.

1. Letter of intent specifying the position being applied for;
2. Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 212, Revised 2025), which may be downloaded from the CSC Website (www.csc.gov.ph), indicating all the required data information;
3. Copy of Certificate of Competency;
4. Copy of Certificate of Accreditation as assessor;
5. Copy of Training Certificates;
6. Copy of Certification of Seagoing Service;
7. Duly accomplished Medical Certificate (CS Form No. 211), which may be downloaded from CSC website;
8. Copy of Transcript of Records/Diploma;
9. Certificate of Employment;
10. Certificate of Good Moral Character;
11. Latest Clearances;
a. NBl Clearance
b. Police Clearance
c. Barangay Clearance
12. Birth/Marriage Certificate (PSA Authenticated)
13. Certification from the current or previous employer attesting to the applicant's professionalism, integrity, and good moral character
14. Notarized certification (not employed nor connected with any MTls, MHEls, Review Centers, Practical Assessment Centers)
