You will build, repair, and maintain brick, block, and stone structures while working with a team of construction professionals.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stone to construct walls, arches, and other structures according to project specifications.
- Mix mortar and other masonry materials to the correct consistency and proportions.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine layouts, dimensions, and material needs.
- Repair and restore existing brickwork while preserving structural integrity and appearance.
- Coordinate with the site foreman, supervisors, and construction team to meet schedules and quality requirements.
- Maintain masonry tools and equipment and use them safely.
- Follow applicable safety regulations and maintain a safe worksite.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated masonry experience and a strong understanding of brick installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with masonry tools and equipment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
