Bridal Makeup Artist

About the role

This role is perfect for the makeup artist who would like to increase volume and bookings for wedding parties in the Metro Detroit area and Local Southeast Michigan.

Tasks

• Must be able to do a full face of glam in record time while answering 47 questions about the timeline.
• Must be able to handle the 75 interruptions while you have your bride in the chair and still get the makeup done in one hour.
• Must be part makeup artist, part therapist, part timeline coordinator, and part emergency contact.

Requirements

• 1 year experience minimum required working with bridal parties onsite
• Must be extremely customer service driven
• Soft Glam, natural makeup looks (will train)
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have an immune system made of steel. Calling out sick is basically a luxury you cannot afford.
• Must be able to function at 4:00 AM with the energy of someone who just won the lottery.
• Must possess the patience of a saint and the emotional regulation of a licensed therapist.
• Must know what the bridesmaid means when the inspo photo is full glam she is asking for nothing special, she doesn’t wear a lot of makeup.
• Must be able to carry 75 pounds of makeup, lighting, chairs, and equipment up three flights of hotel stairs

Schedule

• Must be willing to sacrifice every Saturday from April through November. Goodbye, social life. Hello, bridal season.
• Must understand that weekends, holidays, and sleeping in are merely concepts other people enjoy.
• All weddings are booked through Danielle Paquin Beauty and would be under contract.
