About the role
CDS Building Movers is expanding its field crew for the remainder of the 2026 season. The company has served Ottawa and surrounding regions for over 45 years. This seasonal, full-time role starts at $23/hr, with overtime potential. The schedule is weekdays, with rare weekend or overnight work. Daily starts are from the shop at 3100 County Rd. 7, Chesterville, ON.
Responsibilities
- Build support structures, including installing steel beams and constructing wood cribbing and piers.
- Assist with hydraulic jacking operations and building lifting procedures.
- Load, unload, and stage heavy tools, rigging, and job site materials.
- Follow workplace health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Be punctual and arrive reliably for daily morning shop dispatches.
- Have reliable personal transportation to the Chesterville shop.
- Have the physical fitness to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
- Bring a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to remain composed under pressure.
