Key Responsibilities Operate assigned bus routes punctually, ensuring adherence to schedules and timely arrivals and departures to maintain service reliability. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with transport regulations. Assist passengers during boarding and disembarking, with special attention to individuals with disabilities or special needs, enhancing accessibility. Monitor traffic patterns and weather conditions continuously to adjust routes proactively and minimize delays. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and resolving transit-related issues promptly and courteously. Maintain accurate trip records, including fares collected and any incidents, ensuring transparency and operational accountability. What We're Looking For Required: High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no history of traffic violations. Proven experience driving, preferably in public transportation or bus services, with a strong safety record. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to remain calm and efficient under stressful or challenging traffic conditions. Preferred: Familiarity with Soweto and Gauteng road networks and public transit routes. Previous training or certification in defensive driving or passenger safety. Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
