Career Services Advisor

Tasks

• Achieve placement results and prepare students and graduates for successful employment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, community partners, and external organizations.
• Proactively source job leads through cold-calling, job boards, internet sourcing, networking, employer visits, and other outreach strategies.
• Verify employment records and gather required documentation in compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and company guidelines.
• Input graduate employment information and data into the campus database.
• Provide career guidance and support to students and graduates, including resume preparation, interview skills, job-search strategies, and career planning.
• Coordinate with Academic and Externship departments to provide career-related resources and support.
• Monitor progress toward campus, program, and annual placement goals and prepare reports as needed.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in Career Services, staffing/recruiting, human resources, or workforce counseling.
• Associate’s Degree preferred, not required.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Proven record as a self-starter who can build and maintain relationships with external and internal clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
