Caregiver Job in Los Angeles, CA - Full Time $19-$20/hr

Hourly Rate: $19-$20 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) as outlined in their Service Plan.
• Respond promptly to resident requests to ensure comfort and safety.
• Serve meals, beverages, and snacks under the supervision of the Food Services Supervisor.
• Perform dining area duties including bussing, cleaning, and preparing the dining area for meals.
• Assist residents with self-administration of medications as needed.
• Provide care for residents with elimination needs, including proper use of incontinent briefs and toileting assistance.
• Ensure safe transfers, positioning, and turning of residents using effective body mechanics.
• Participate in scheduled team meetings and community-wide team member meetings as requested.
• Engage in ongoing education and mandatory in-service training to maintain caregiving skills.
• Use computer skills to print shift task sheets, enter resident notes, and manage internal communications.
• Communicate effectively using verbal and non-verbal methods, including with residents who have sensory deficits.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions using appropriate terminology.
• Support resident participation in activities to promote mental health and well-being.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by recognizing hazards and following safety protocols, including safe oxygen use.

Job Type: Full Time

Location: On-site position in Los Angeles, CA. Remote work is not eligible.
