Job description
Emmanuel Naledi Hwarukwaru is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Nurse Aide to join our team in New York, NY. In this part-time role, you will provide essential support and personalized care to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs and observe any physical or emotional changes.
- Offer companionship and emotional support during clients’ daily routines.
- Administer prescribed medications and support mobility and rehabilitation efforts.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Document care activities accurately and report concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong compassion, communication skills, first aid knowledge, time management, and physical stamina.
- Experience in caregiving or related healthcare roles preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in using healthcare tools and maintaining care records.
You will report directly to the Care Coordinator and work closely with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care delivery. This role is not remote and requires presence in New York, NY.
Compensation: $1700 per hour.
