About the role
Third Dimension Construction is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Cashier Supervisor to oversee the cashier team and help ensure the smooth and accurate operation of the front-end department.
The ideal candidate leads by example, holds team members accountable, assists customers when needed, and helps ensure a consistent and efficient cash customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and provide daily direction to cashiers.
- Ensure excellent customer service and professional interactions with customers.
- Monitor cashier performance, attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company procedures.
- Address customer concerns and process returns for products and transactions as needed.
- Verify cash draws, daily transactions, deposits, reports, refunds, credits, and other front-end activities.
- Investigate and resolve cash shortages, overages, pricing discrepancies, and transaction issues.
- Assist with customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Ensure proper handling of cash, credit and debit cards, transactions, cash management, and other forms of payment.
- Train new cashiers and provide ongoing coaching to existing team members.
- Assist with cashier schedules and ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
- Work closely with management, accounting, sales, and other departments.
- Maintain an organized, professional, and efficient checkout area.
Requirements
- Proven cashier experience, retail supervision, or management skills.
- Experience using Epicor, preferably in a retail or hardware-store environment, is highly desirable.
- Comfort using a computerized point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ability to research and identify discrepancies, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with numbers and reconcile reports accurately.
- Strong customer service skills.
