About the role

CFS is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a stable, highly profitable manufacturing company with a strong reputation and long-tenured leadership team. The CFO will partner with ownership and executive leadership on growth strategy, acquisitions, and major business decisions, and lead a transformation initiative to rebuild processes and strengthen financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and month-end close activities.
  • Manage a team of 4 in accounting, as well as the IT and HR Manager.
  • Oversee and guide the accounting manager and participate in preparing financials for 3 separate entities.
  • Oversee HR, benefits administration, outsourced IT functions, insurance programs, and key legal relationships.
  • Drive process improvements and restore financial discipline across the organization.
  • Manage contract negotiations, banking relationships, vendor partnerships, and strategic business agreements.
  • Advise ownership on growth initiatives, acquisitions, and business strategy.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in manufacturing or industrial-related environments.
  • Prior CFO, Controller, or senior finance leadership experience with hands-on operational responsibility.
  • Proven background overseeing finance, HR, and IT.
