Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
To lead the hospital’s financial strategy, planning, and operations while ensuring financial sustainability, transparency, and regulatory compliance. The CFO will oversee budgeting, accounting, revenue cycle, investment, and risk management, playing a key role in shaping the hospital’s long-term financial health and strategic direction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute the hospital's financial strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.
• Ensure proper financial reporting and performance reports, analysis, and presentations.
• Lead the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and board presentations.
• Monitor and maintain the hospital’s revenue cycle, including billing, coding, and revenue assurance.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and board based on financial analysis and projections.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and financial institutions.
• Supervise internal audits, risk assessments, and financial controls.
• Support capital investments decisions and ensure long-term financial planning for infrastructure and equipment.
• Lead and manage finance teams ensuring optimum performance and high performance.
DRIVE COST AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE BY OVERSEEING:
• Budgeting, planning, and performance.
• Cash flow management and working capital.
• Financial analysis and reporting.
KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCIES:
• Strong command of financial management principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Knowledge of hospital financial systems including billing, insurance, and compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), financial modeling, and data analytics tools.
• Crisis & Change Management.
• Regulatory & Stakeholder Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Academic Qualification: at least certain that financial consultant and affiliations; the chartered financial consultant (CFCF), Associate of Cost and Management Accountant (ACMA).
• Work Experience: Minimum 5-8 years at the same post/ level - preferred HealthCare industry Background.
