About the Role
We’re building a portfolio of AI-powered businesses.
We already have a substantial technical foundation: autonomous AI agents, operational infrastructure, marketing systems, established audiences, and products in market.
Our biggest opportunity now is making these systems work together more effectively, operate independently, and consistently produce measurable business outcomes.
We’re looking for a highly capable, technically minded Chief of Staff who enjoys building systems, solving problems, and taking ownership of results.
This isn’t a traditional administrative role. You’ll work directly with the founder, directing AI agent teams, improving operating processes, and helping turn strategic priorities into reliable execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Operations & Autonomous Execution
Help build and improve the systems that allow our AI agents to work effectively with minimal human intervention.
* Coordinate agent teams across projects and priorities.* Improve automated planning, task execution, progress tracking, and recovery from blockers.* Build repeatable workflows that help agents independently complete complex projects.* Ensure project plans, documentation, and decisions are captured in our organizational knowledge systems.* Identify operational bottlenecks and develop systems to eliminate them.
Goal: Increase organizational output while reducing the founder’s involvement in day-to-day execution.
2. Technical Operations, QA & Enterprise Delivery
Support the development and implementation of programs.
* Coordinate technical workstreams across data architecture, integrations, infrastructure, and security.* Help design automated testing frameworks, regression tests, and AI evaluation systems.* Establish quality assurance processes and measurable acceptance criteria.* Coordinate agent-led development, testing, and implementation.* Improve project management, documentation, and delivery processes for enterprise clients.
Goal: Make complex implementations reliable, testable, secure, and increasingly repeatable.
3. Growth & Marketing Operations
Take operational ownership of growth systems for Rocket and other company initiatives.
* Coordinate AI-driven marketing campaigns, outreach, and content distribution.* Manage recurring programming, speaker acquisition, events, and promotional workflows.* Work with our existing team to maintain quality and consistency.* Monitor acquisition, engagement, conversion, and revenue metrics.* Identify underperforming initiatives and independently develop improvements.* Build scalable processes that allow marketing operations to run continuously.
Goal: Turn existing products, audiences, and marketing infrastructure into consistent, measurable growth.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning new technologies.* Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.* Experience building processes, systems, automations, or operational workflows.* Strong analytical thinking and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.* Ability to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize based on business impact.* Comfort working with AI tools, APIs, automation platforms, and technical teams.* Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.* An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in building businesses.
Experience with Python, software development, data science, AI agents, or technical project management is a strong advantage.
Prior executive leadership experience is not required. We’re more interested in someone who consistently takes ownership, learns quickly, and figures things out.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 days
* Understand our existing systems, agent infrastructure, and business priorities.* Establish reliable operating routines for Rocket’s marketing and growth programs.* Identify and begin resolving key bottlenecks in agent execution.* Help establish foundational testing and QA processes for Genie.
Days 30–60
* Demonstrate recurring growth operations running with minimal founder involvement.* Implement improvements to agent planning, coordination, and autonomous execution.* Establish repeatable testing and delivery workflows for Genie.* Show measurable improvements in execution reliability, operational efficiency, or business outcomes.
Longer term
Own an increasingly large portion of company operations, coordinate human and AI teams, and build the systems necessary to scale multiple businesses without proportionally increasing headcount.
Working Style & Opportunity
We’ll start with a flexible, part-time engagement of approximately 10–15 hours per week, with clearly defined priorities and measurable outcomes.
You’ll have access to an existing AI agent infrastructure capable of handling substantial execution work. Your responsibility will be to direct, improve, and expand those capabilities—not personally perform every task.
As the businesses grow and the working relationship develops, there’s an opportunity to expand into a full-time operational leadership role.
The ideal person doesn’t need a detailed task list every morning. They understand the goal, figure out what needs to happen, and make it happen.
