Civil Supervisor

Head Office North Nazimabad Campus, Karachi Onsite - Full Time JOB SUMMARY: To supervise and coordinate civil maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction activities across the hospital premises, ensuring work is complete safely, efficiently, and according to approved specifications, quality standards, and timelines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervise day-to-day civil maintenance and repair activities across the hospital premises. - Monitor civil works including masonry, plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, waterproofing, ceilings, roofing, and related works. - Supervise contractors, vendors, and civil workers and ensure work is carried out as per approved specifications and standards. - Conduct regular site inspections to identify work defects, damages, and unreported repairs. - Prepare and maintain work schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned civil projects. - Verify the quality of materials and workmanship used in civil maintenance and construction activities. - Monitor material requirements and coordinate with relevant departments for timely availability of construction materials. - Respond promptly to urgent civil maintenance complaints and ensure necessary corrective action. - Perform any other civil engineering/maintenance-related duties as assigned by the management. - Ensure work areas are properly managed and restored after completion of civil activities. KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES: - Good knowledge of civil construction, maintenance, and finishing works. - Strong supervision and control knowledge in civil works. - Ability to read basic drawings, layouts, and BOQs. - Good problem-solving and coordination skills. - Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and hospital-related safety requirements. - Good communication and reporting skills. - Ability to manage multiple maintenance activities and meet deadlines. REQUIREMENTS: Academic Qualification: DAe Civil / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering will be preferred. Working Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in civil construction, maintenance, or repair in a hospital, healthcare, commercial, or large-scale institutional environment.
