About the role
LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is seeking a Civil/Concrete Superintendent to oversee field operations for industrial civil and concrete construction projects throughout the United States, primarily North Dakota and West Texas. This hands-on field leadership position emphasizes surveying, construction layout, concrete placement, civil construction, and field execution.
The Superintendent directs crews, coordinates equipment and materials, maintains production schedules, ensures quality and safety, and works with Project Managers, engineers, inspectors, and customers. Compensation is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise daily civil and concrete construction activities from project mobilization through completion.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents.
- Establish and maintain field layout and construction control using survey equipment and appropriate layout technology.
- Perform or oversee field measurements, elevations, benchmarks, grades, points, lines, offsets, and other construction layout requirements.
- Verify field conditions and ensure construction is being performed according to project requirements.
Requirements
- Strong survey and field layout experience is required.
- Experience with survey equipment, layout, and field verification is particularly important.
- Experience with pipeline station concrete, tank foundations, equipment foundations, building foundations or floors, structural concrete, or other industrial concrete construction is highly valued.
- Schedule: 10 hours per day, 6 days per week; rotation: 6 weeks on and 10 days off.
- Extensive travel is required for projects throughout the United States, primarily North Dakota and West Texas.
