Job description
Allegis is hiring a full-time Claims Adjuster in the Chicago Loop, Illinois. In this on-site insurance role, you will investigate, evaluate, and help resolve claims while supporting a smooth, fair, and timely claims process. Your analytical judgment and customer service skills will contribute to positive client experiences and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate claims through interviews, document reviews, and inspections of property damage.
- Evaluate evidence to determine claim validity, liability, and potential settlement outcomes.
- Work with legal teams, insurance brokers, and policyholders to support timely claim resolution.
- Prepare clear, detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Negotiate fair, objective settlements while considering the interests of both the company and claimants.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive records of claim activity in the company database.
- Contribute to special projects and process improvements that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex information and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency with insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- One to three years of claims adjustment or related experience preferred.
- Industry certifications such as AIC or CPCU are a plus.
