About the role
GeorgiaTEK Systems Inc. is looking for an experienced Cloud Migration Architect – AWS to design and lead the migration of applications and infrastructure into AWS cloud environments. The role focuses on AWS networking, cloud architecture, connectivity, security, and migration strategies. The goal is to create secure, scalable, highly available, and well-connected cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect AWS environments for application and infrastructure migrations.
- Design and implement AWS VPCs, subnets, route tables, Transit Gateway, and network connectivity.
- Develop secure and scalable cloud network architectures based on business and application requirements.
- Configure and optimize Security Groups, Network ACLs, routing, load balancing, and DNS.
- Design connectivity between AWS and on-premises environments using VPN, Direct Connect, and other hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Develop migration strategies, including rehost, replatform, refactor, and modernization approaches.
- Analyze existing application and network environments and identify migration dependencies.
- Design highly available and resilient AWS architectures across multiple Availability Zones and Regions where required.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and network engineering teams throughout migration projects.
- Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues during migration and post-migration activities.
- Establish cloud architecture standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Support security, compliance, performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture and migration.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups, and NACLs.
- Experience with AWS Load Balancers, Route 53/DNS, VPN, and Direct Connect.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP.
